Residential interior design for homes in Tuscany, across Italy and internationally, creating considered spaces that balance character, function and everyday living.
We design private homes with a focus on how they are actually lived in. From the overall layout and flow of a space to the materials, furniture, lighting and smaller details, each decision is considered as part of a complete interior.
Our work can support a full renovation, the redesign of an existing home, or a more focused interior project. We work closely with clients to understand how they want to live, what the space needs to do and the atmosphere they want it to have.
A considered approach to residential interiors
Good residential design should feel natural to the people who live there. We look beyond appearance, considering proportion, circulation, storage, light, comfort and functionality alongside the visual direction of the interior.
This allows us to create homes that feel coherent and individual rather than over-designed. Existing architecture and original details are considered carefully, particularly when working with properties in Tuscany and other parts of Italy, where the character of the building often becomes an important part of the project.
From space planning to the final details
Our residential interior design services can include spatial planning, furniture layouts, material and finish selection, lighting, bespoke joinery, furniture sourcing, colour direction and styling.
Depending on the project, we can develop the complete interior concept or work on selected areas of the home. We can also collaborate with architects, contractors, craftspeople and specialist suppliers to help ensure the design is carried through consistently.
Homes with character
We are interested in interiors that feel personal rather than formulaic. The aim is not to impose a single BCOME style, but to create a clear direction that responds to the property, the client and the way the home will be used.
Whether we are working on a contemporary apartment, a historic property, a country house or a second home, the same principles apply: clarity, function, proportion and a strong sense of place.
Residential interior design in Tuscany, Italy and beyond
Based in Tuscany, we work on residential interior design projects in Lucca, Florence, Pisa and across Tuscany, as well as elsewhere in Italy and internationally.
For clients working remotely or managing a second home from abroad, we can also structure the design process around distance, coordinating decisions, specifications and sourcing throughout the project.
