Havering House is a London residential interior design project by BCOME Studio, shaped by a meeting of mid-century modern design and Scandinavian simplicity. The approach brings the character and confidence of mid-century interiors together with the clarity, comfort and practicality of Scandinavian design.
Rather than treating either influence as a fixed style, the design uses them as a framework for the home as a whole. Mid-century references inform the sense of form, proportion and visual rhythm; Scandinavian principles bring restraint and ease. The balance gives the interior a distinct identity while keeping it composed and comfortable for everyday life.
Havering House reflects BCOME Studio’s approach to home interior design: beginning with a coherent concept, then carrying it through the choices that define the atmosphere of a home. This residential interior design project in London combines mid-century character with Scandinavian restraint to create an interior that feels individual, composed and made to be lived in.
Warm, pale American walnut and Calacatta Viola bring contrasting qualities to the material palette. Their tones and patterns are considered alongside the lines and proportions of the furnishings, so each element contributes to a balanced composition. The result is neither strictly mid-century nor purely Scandinavian, but a personal interpretation of both styles, shaped around the character of the home.
